Veneers in Redmond, OR

A beautiful smile should still look and feel like your own. At Select Dental Care, we take a personal approach to veneers, getting to know what you love about your smile and what you’d like to change. Our goal is to create results that complement your features and feel natural, rather than giving everyone the same look.

Veneers are thin, custom-made restorations that bond to the front of your teeth. Depending on your smile and oral health, they can improve the appearance of discoloration, uneven shapes, small chips, minor gaps, and worn or irregular teeth. We’ll listen to your goals, talk through your options, and help you feel confident about your decision from the very beginning.

What Can Veneers Do for Your Smile?

Veneers can address a variety of cosmetic concerns while maintaining a natural-looking appearance. We plan your treatment around your facial features, existing teeth, and overall smile rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Veneers may help improve:

  • Discolored or stained teeth
  • Small chips or worn edges
  • Uneven or irregular tooth shapes
  • Minor gaps between teeth
  • Teeth that appear slightly uneven
  • Overall smile symmetry

Before beginning cosmetic treatment, we make sure your teeth and gums are healthy and discuss any dental concerns that need attention first.

What Are the Benefits of Veneers?

Veneers can do more than change the appearance of individual teeth. When carefully planned, they can help create a smile that feels natural and suits you.
Create a More Uniform Smile
Veneers can help bring consistency to the color, shape, size, and appearance of your teeth. We design them to complement your existing smile rather than make your teeth look overly uniform or artificial.
Address Multiple Cosmetic Concerns
Instead of treating each concern separately, veneers can address several cosmetic imperfections at once. Depending on your needs, they can improve color, shape, spacing, and minor chips or wear.
Enjoy Long-Lasting Results
With good oral hygiene and regular dental visits, veneers can provide a long-lasting cosmetic improvement. We’ll also talk with you about habits that can help protect your veneers, particularly if you clench or grind your teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dental veneers can provide a long-lasting cosmetic solution when you care for them properly. Their lifespan varies depending on the type of veneer, your oral health, bite, and everyday habits.

What Can Affect the Lifespan of Veneers?

Your veneers can last for many years with good oral hygiene and regular dental visits. Brushing twice a day, cleaning between your teeth, and attending routine exams help protect both your veneers and the natural teeth underneath.

Your everyday habits also matter. Avoid biting your nails, chewing on ice, pens, or other hard objects, and let us know if you clench or grind your teeth. If you grind at night, we may recommend a custom night guard to help protect your teeth and veneers.

Can Veneers Be Repaired or Replaced?

Veneers can sometimes be repaired, but replacement may be necessary if a veneer becomes significantly damaged, worn, or no longer fits properly. We can assess your veneers during your regular dental visits and let you know if we notice any concerns.

It’s also important to remember that veneers improve the appearance of your teeth but don’t protect you from cavities or gum disease. Your natural teeth and gums still need regular professional care.

Enhance Your Smile with Veneers

Contact Select Dental Care to schedule a consultation. We’ll assess your smile, discuss your goals, and help you understand whether veneers are right for you.

What Can I Expect When Getting Veneers?

We start with a consultation where you can tell us what you like and don’t like about your smile. We examine your teeth, gums, and bite to determine whether veneers are appropriate and discuss the results you can realistically expect.

If veneers are right for you, we plan their shape, size, and shade before preparing your teeth. We take impressions or digital scans to create your custom veneers, then carefully bond them to the front surfaces of your teeth.

We check your bite and the overall appearance before you leave, making sure your new veneers feel comfortable and look natural.

How Do I Care for My Veneers?

Veneers can give your smile a beautiful, long-lasting result, but they still need the same everyday attention as your natural teeth. Good habits help keep your veneers looking their best while also protecting the teeth and gums underneath.

  • Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste.
  • Clean between your teeth every day with floss or another interdental cleaner.
  • Keep up with regular exams and cleanings so we can check your veneers, teeth, and gums and catch any concerns early.
  • Avoid biting hard objects, such as ice, pens, fingernails, or packaging, which can put unnecessary pressure on your veneers.
  • Be mindful of staining foods and drinks if you’re concerned about keeping your smile bright.

If you grind or clench your teeth, we may recommend a custom night guard to help protect your natural teeth and veneers while you sleep. During your regular visits, we can also check for signs of wear or changes to your veneers and let you know if anything needs attention.

With a little everyday care and regular professional visits, you can enjoy your veneers and continue feeling confident about your smile.
